The Pillertons Newsletter
The PCC regret to announce that Peter Titchmarsh is retiring from the editorship of the Newsletter effective from the March 2012 edition.  Would you be interested in taking on the Editorship?  The Newsletter is for all village news, not just the Church, so this is an opportunity to make a much-appreciated contribution to our community and to exercise your journalistic skills.  Please contact a Warden (Gill – 740534 or Sandy – 740145) or any member of the PCC.  Thank you.

It is planned to run three separate sets of confirmation classes in the Benefice: one for children, one for young people and one for adults.  Please contact Cath or John straight away if you are interested as some of these classes will be starting soon.

John Purslow, formerly of Pillerton Priors and Ettington, died suddenly on Tuesday 20th December at his home in France.  His wife Jill was with John when he suffered a massive and fatal heart attack.  John, known to many as “Sooty” from his work as “Sootbusters”, was only 60 years of age.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Wednesday afternoon teas in Halford will resume in the Spring

If you know anyone who helps in our churches in any way, however large or small, do let them know about the united service in Pillertons next Sunday, beginning at 10.30am.
